This week in Year 2, the children have written a character description in the form of a WANTED poster, in an attempt to catch the gingerbread man. They all worked hard to use expanded noun phrases, interesting verbs and make comparisons between the fox and the gingerbread man.
Maths
In Maths, the children have continued with the place value unit. This week, they have been using tens and ones place value charts to recognise place value in 2 digit numbers up to 100. We have also started to compare numbers using the > = < signs. Below are some games that may help consolidate your child's learning.

Foundation
This week in Science, the children went on a hunt around the school to find objects that are made of different materials. In Art, the children visited an art gallery in the hall, and looked at portraits of famous Kings and Queens. They made notes about how the paintings make the monarchs look powerful and brave.
