How to Help Your Children Learn

We try to work very closely with families. From asking parents to contribute to our Reception class children's work to inviting parents in to sit alongside their children for 'Booster' classes in Year 6 we want parents and carers to share the school experience and support their child's education. 
Each term every class in school will host 'shared learning' for an afternoon- parents will get the opportunity to work with their children to complete a piece of work based on their curriculum theme.
Each term we have a home-learning (homework) exhibition to celebrate the home-school learning that takes place.
Each term every class holds a parent assembly when children share their learning with their families and peers.
All of our home learning (homework) grids can be found under the ‘Homework’ tab of the website. 
As the children move through the school they will be expected to build upon their knowledge. We assess children relative to the age related expectations set for them. In order for a child's writing attainment to match their age related expectation they will be expected to have mastered most/all of the requirements for all of the previous Year Groups.

22nd to 26th October. Monday 29th October is a staff training day, so children return to school on Tuesday October.
(Please note, emails, post and voicemail is not monitored during holiday periods).

Open Evening for Parents of Children due to start Infant or Primary School in September 2019

If your child was born between 1/9/2014 and 31/8/2015 they will start infant or primary school in September 2019.  The application process is already open and will close on 15/1/2019.

If you would like to visit Brady before submitting an application, you're welcome to come along to our open evening on Monday 12th November, between 4-6pm. No appointment necessary.
