Spring 1 Week 2- Chinese New Year

19 Jan 2023

This week we have been learning about and celebrating Chinese New Year. The children have enjoyed learning about the story of Chinese New Year and finding our their zodiac animal. We have been having races, acting out the story using masks, decorating lanterns, making and trying spring roll wraps, dancing to dragon music, making dragons out of junk box modelling and so much more too!

The children particularly impressed me with their subitising and numeral recognition skills to 5 this week :).

There will be no PE next week (week beginning 23rd January). Our next PE session will be Tuesday 31st Jan PM session and from then will be every Tuesday PM. If your child attends nursery on this session, please send them in wearing their PE kits.

Next week we will be learning about dinosaurs! :)
