I Will Not Ever Never Eat a Tomato

Miss Kelly - 26 Mar 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had a wonderful week in Nursery this week. This week we have been reading the story ‘I Will Not Ever Never Eat a Tomato’. We have learnt about how tomato plants grow and describing the characters in the story (Charlie and Lola). In Phonics, we have been recapping instrumental sounds by exploring different musical instruments and listening to the different sounds that they make. In Maths, we have been learning about the 2D shapes (circle, triangle, rectangle and square). We have been the learning the names of these shapes so hopefully we can remember them at home.

This week’s homework has been uploaded onto Seesaw and is due for next Wednesday. Last week, I put an activity on Seesaw called the Proud Cloud. This activity is for the parents to write one or more things that has made you proud of your child. I have noticed that some parents have completed this, however we are still waiting on a number of you to complete this. We would love it if you could write one or two things that your child has done to make you feel proud lately as we would love to add it to your child’s learning journey in school.

Class Photos
The class photo was supposed to take place on Tuesday 23rd March. However, this was unfortunately cancelled last minute and therefore has been rearranged for this coming Tuesday (30th March 2021).

Due to the class photos on Tuesday, PE will be cancelled for next week. Please send your child into school in their Brady School Uniform not PE kit.

PE
After half term, PE will change date to a Wednesday AM session. Therefore, if your child attends a Wednesday Morning session or Wednesday Full Day then please send them into school wearing their Brady PE kit.
Please ensure that your child’s PE kit and plimsols is clearly labelled with their name.
The Brady PE kit consists of:
  • White or Blue T-shirt
  • Navy or black tracksuit bottoms
  • Socks
  • Black Plimsolls
  • Brady Jumper or Cardigan
Important: If your child attends on a Wednesday morning/full day, please ensure that they not wearing any jewellery (including stud earrings) for this session.

Easter Bonnets
We will be hosting a Nursery Easter Bonnet Parade on Wednesday 31st March 2021. If your child would like to make an Easter bonnet then please can they bring it in on Wednesday for our in-class parade. If your child doesn’t attend a session on a Wednesday, then please bring their Easter bonnet in on a day that they attend as we would still love to see it!
I have added some ideas on Seesaw to help you get creative in making an Easter Bonnet!

Have a lovely weekend!
Miss Kelly 😊
