This week, we have focused on the purpose of instructions and how to write instructions. Children enjoyed making marmalade sandwiches and then using all the skills learned so far to write clear instructions in sequential order.
Maths
We are continuing to count forwards and backwards to and from 50, as well as comparing numbers using a range of vocabulary and the inequality signs.
Below is a link to an excellent app that you could use to support your child’s maths skills for 1 min per day, which also follows the scheme we use in school.

Topic
We had a local walk around the Rainham looking at landmarks and features of Rainham. We are so proud of how well behaved all the children were on the walk. They were engaged and interested in learning about their local environment.
