Well done for an amazing first week back Year 3!
We have been working hard this week in English learning about non-chronological report writing. We have been researching loads of facts about daily life in Ancient Greece and working on our skills of paragraphs and subheadings in preparation for our report writing next week!
In maths we have started our new topic on fractions. We have been looking at unit fractions, ordering fractions and comparing fractions. Next week we will be looking at equivalent fractions and putting fractions on a number line.
This week we have started out new geography topic of relics, rocks and rumbles. We had fun looking at tectonic plates and how their movement effects the earth’s surface.
We have also started our new topic of ‘rocks’ in science. We compared different rock types to different types of chocolate bars by their features!
Reminder that Monday is 3DB’s class assembly followed by Year 3’s shared learning session. Please come along to see the amazing work Year 3 have been doing and get involved with some fun activities with the children.
As always, please continue to read 5 times a week and play on TTRS 5 times a week, for 5 minutes a time. Please find the spellings list below.
Have an amazing weekend everyone!
