Autumn 1 Week 3

18 Sep 2025

We have been completing rhyming sentences in English this week, the children have thought of sentences to rhyme together about animals. They came up with some great sentences including 'The frog sat on the log in the bog.'

During Maths lessons, we have been pratising adding one more and one less to a number. We have used number frames, number lines and counters to help us to complete this. We have began to use whiteboards to create number stories using one more and one less to create a story. One example that we created was 'Seven boys are on the bus and one more joins. How many people are on the bus now?'

Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather on our trip to Barleylands on Monday!
