1ST Spring 2 Week 6

This half term has flown by and the children have really flourished. They have completed their first assessment week and really impressed us with their resilience – well done Year 1.
In English, we wrote the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff. The children used some fantastic adjectives to describe the different characters.
In Maths, we began our new topic –Mass and Capacity. We have enjoyed looking at scales and working out which item is heavier and lighter.
In Science, we looked at clouds and recapped all 4 seasons. The children really enjoyed our experiment when we made a cloud in a jar. They all identified the cloud swirling around inside the jar and watched as it floated out of the jar when the lid was removed.
The children all strutted their stuff wearing their Spring bonnets, so much effort went into these, it was very hard to pick a winner!
We also had a very special visitor who delivered eggs to all the children!
Thank you for all your support this term and we look forward to seeing you after a couple of weeks rest.
We return to school on Tuesday 22
