Sum 2 Week 2- Simple Machines

This week we have continued our learning of machines. We set up a car wash in the garden and the children have LOVED washing all different types of vehicles and engaging with water play.
On Monday, we had a special assembly with flying owls and we all had the opportunity to get a picture with them. These have been sent home, should you want to purchase these.
We have enjoyed taking part in some junk box modelling to create and make our own machines. Later in the week, we will be sorting past and present machines and taking part in Healthy Eating afternoon.
In maths, we have been practicing our mathematical skills to solve problems in different ways which has made us think about things in different ways. Phonics is continuing every day and the children are making such lovely progress in their groups!
