Reception- Puddles & Rainbows

This week we are focusing on "puddles and rainbows". So far, we have created a class weather chart, decorated some different types of weather images, learnt the rainbow song and created a whole class pictogram- we collected data about our favourite colours and then discussed what we found in small groups. We had a lovely time creating a seasonal picture in the Computing Suite too.
Later in the week we will be taking part in lots more fun learning activities including:
- recognising and matching 6,7,8
- recognising how many spots on a domino
- exploring rhyming words
- testing things that are waterproof
- making cards for those we love
All children are making great progress in their phonics groups. Children have been so proud to share the sounds they are learning and apply this in their writing work/ child initiated play.
