Chinese New Year

This week in Reception we have been learning all about Chinese New Year. We have looked at the story of Chinese New Year where we explored the ordinal language of winning a race (1
st, 2
nd, 3
rd place etc.)
The children had fun taking part in Chinese ribbon dancing and dragon dancing -rrooooaaaarrr!!!
The children had a great time making and tasting ‘spring rolls’. It was great to see the class preparing the spring rolls and then they wrote all about them. We even tried using chopsticks to move rice from bowl to bowl.
The children are going to be learning all about crocodiles next week- snap snap!
