Week 5 Summer 1

19 May 2022

We have had a lovely week in Year 4, enjoying some of the beautiful summer weather.

The children started off the week by performing in assembly. They performed Mamma Mia which they had learnt in our Music lessons back in the Autumn term. The did a fantastic performance and the other year groups were very impressed!

In RE this week, the children were learning about the differences in marriage ceremonies across different religions. We focussed on a Hindu wedding ceremony, and the children acted out these ceremonies in groups. The children took a bit of convincing to become the bride/groom!

This week in Maths we have been learning about Time. This has been an interesting topic to cover because some of Year 4 are not confident in telling the time at all yet. Every one of the children has tried their absolute hardest this week, with lots of children practising at home too. I would encourage any children who are not confident to practise reading an analogue clock every day at home.
