Reception Aut 2 Week 3

Miss Skelton - 16 Nov 2022

The children have been working so hard this week and we have had lots of fun!

In phonics, the children have progressed amazingly and lots of children have been put into new phonics groups! They will continue to bring home letter formation sheets to practice what they have learnt in class and some children will be bringing home red ditty books! In Maths, we have been sorting circles and triangles and even made some wonderful Kandinsky art. All of the children thoroughly enjoyed using shapes to make their beautiful pictures.

Our topic work has been particularly exciting this week! The children have loved conducting science experiments. We used hard boiled eggs to represent our teeth and submerged them into different liquids such as orange juice, water and coke to show what sugar can do to our teeth! The children have become very good at understanding healthy choices.

Thank you so much to all the lovely parents who made donations to us this week, we are very grateful! The children have loved playing with all the new toys!
