Week 4 Spring 2

18 Mar 2022

Well done Year 4 for working so hard during assessment week! The children have shown true resilience and dedication this week, completing 5 assessments. We are so proud of every single one of them and their achievements.

We have had a fun week too

In Science, we made our own circuits. The children had to work out what components were vital to make a circuit, including whether or not a switch had to be 'open' or 'closed'. We had a fantastic lesson, and the children did very well.

For our RE lesson, the children were learning about Islam and the Prophet Muhammed. One of the children in 4S (who practises Islam), was very keen to share their knowledge about this important figure. The children were extremely engaged and learnt a lot, through their classmate!

We also started a new topic in English, which is building up to writing an informal letter. We went on a brilliant trip to the 'USA' on Tuesday, and saw some wonderful sights in cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Miami...! We then looked at what key features we would find in an informal letter, knowing now what to include when we write our own.

Have a fantastic weekend.
