Last week before half term

English
In English this week, we have been writing invitations to a banquet! The children have learned how to use commas in a list, and use subordination and noun phrases to make their writing more persuasive. Their final invitations were very good!
Maths
In Maths, the children have continued with addition and subtractions. They have been learning their bonds to 100 and they have been learning to find 10 more and 10 less.
The children thoroughly enjoyed their science lesson this week. We were learning about how materials can be changed through squashing, bending, twisting and pulling. The children found it thoroughly entertaining when investigating how they could change the properties of their own sock!
