Year 3 Summer Term Week 1 - Home Learning

23 Apr 2020

Hi everyone,

I hope you and your families are keeping well and enjoyed your Easter break as much as you could during this unusual time. I have added a few links below should you want additional/different activities to complete at home.

https://www.twinkl.co.uk/home-learning-hub
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons
https://www.literacyshed.com/home.html

Maybe you could watch this fun meerkat clip and complete some of the following activities:
https://www.literacyshed.com/catchit.html
  • Tell the story from a meerkat's point of view.
  • Describe the beautiful setting of the African plains.
  • Create some dialogue between the meerkats at various points in the film.
  • Create some commentary for the 'rugby' scene at the end of the film – you could use iMovie to record this commentary over the top of the original film.
  • Write show not tell sentences about the events and feelings of the meerkats and vulture throughout different points of the clip.

I would love to see how creative you can be with these activities! Once you have finished your work, send it to me at sosullivan@brady.havering.sch.uk

Spellings for this week are:

Homophones & Near Homophones
scent
sent
vain
vein
rode
road
steel
steal
waist
waste

Keri has been busy again and working hard, even over the Easter break. Keri has been enjoying the sunshine and helping to bake lots of cakes which look delicious! Well done Keri.
