Year 6 Week 4

Maths
In Maths this week we have been looking at ratio and proportion and have been looking at word problems involving these concepts. Next week we will be looking at area, perimeter and volume.
Literacy
Last week we completed our alternative ending narratives and have moved on to our next genre – newspapers. We have been looking at the features of a newspaper and have written an article on the death of the explorer R.F Scott. Next week we will be writing a newspaper report about the sinking of the Titanic.
Topic
As part of our frozen kingdom topic, we have been looking at the types of plants and animals that can be found in the Arctic and Antarctic regions and have looked at how these animals are adapted to suit the conditions in which they live.
