Miss Line - 15 Jan 2026

English
This week in English we have been writing our own balanced argument based on the question “Should animals be used for Science?” We have written our own introductory paragraph and have ensured our writing is cohesive using the skills that we looked at last week.

Maths
In Maths we have continued our work on ratio and have been completing word problems involving ratio and proportion. Next week we will be moving on to algebra.

Science
In Science we looked at the work of Charles Darwin and his observations of finches on the Galapagos islands to support his idea of Natural Selection. We used different sized “beaks” and attempted to pick up different size “food items”. We noticed that the larger beaks were better adapted for larger food items.
