Year 2 have had a brilliant week at Brady primary this week!
English
This week we began our new unit by exploring Mog’s Christmas. The children have loved diving into the story, making predictions, and sharing their ideas as we read together. Their enthusiasm for the book has been wonderful to see!
Maths
We concluded our geometry unit on shape. The children worked hard to recognise and describe different shapes, and it was great to see their confidence grow as they wrapped up this topic.
Nativity Performances
It has been a very busy week with not one, but two nativity performances! Parents joined us to celebrate, and both shows were a huge success. The teachers are incredibly proud of how the children came out of their shells — it was amazing to see their personalities shine on stage.
School Trip
We also enjoyed our very first trip to Rainham Parish Church. The children learned even more about the nativity story and soaked up the atmosphere of the church. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect their learning with a real environment.
As we move towards the Christmas break, we are reflecting on how much the children have achieved this term. Their hard work, creativity, and joy have made this a truly special time.
