Year 2 have had a great first week back into Autumn Term 2!
English
This week we have been exploring poetry specifically the sound collector by Roger Mccgough. Children acted like the sound collector as we ventured around the school searching for sounds to write about in our books. Children had a fantastic time!
Maths
Children have been continuing their addition and subtraction unit looking at addition and subtraction through exchanges across a 10. Children have worked hard to understand this tricky concept, and we will continue practising this until the end of the unit.
Topic
Children explored things that are living, dead and have never been alive in science and have begun their new unit of geography where they explored how to correctly use an atlas! This is tricky but children put in great effort and we explored many different places in the world. In computing children explored the paint software creating their own digital self-portraits!
