Maths
This week in maths we started the Multiplication and Division unit. We focused on the 2s, 5s and 10 times tables, recapping odd and even numbers and equal grouping. We will next be looking at the 4 and 8 times tables. Please ensure your child is accessing TTRS to give them the best chance of developing their fluency across this unit.
English
This week we have consolidated our undertsanding in conjunctions, nouns, apostrophes for contractions and comprehension ahead of assessments next week.
Science
In science this week we looked at how shadows are created using different objects. The children measured the length of the shadow when light moves further away to see if it increases or decreases.
Art
In art this week, the children finished the topic by creating a picture using different groups of colours from the colour theory wheel.
Assessment week
Next week all children will be taking part in Year 3 assessments:
Monday - Spelling and Grammar

Wednesday - Reasoning and Arithmetic paper
