Welcome back, we hope you have had a wonderful half term break.
English
This week in English, we looked at a poem called The Sound Collector. We took a walk around the school to collect our own sounds and write a school-based version of the poem. The children will be writing their own poem called The Taste Collector, using the -ness suffix to describe the taste of familiar foods.
Maths
In Maths the children have been working on addition and subtraction. They have been learning how to subtract a 1 digit number from a 2 digit number, and add and subtract 10s.
Topic
This half term we will be learning about maps and compasses in Geography. This week the children used Atlases to answer questions about the different continents.
