Summer Term Week 11

Mr. Stephens - 06 Jul 2023

This week we've taken part in a singing assembly, compared religions and started a poetry unit for English.

Sports day for KS1 begins at 9:45 on Friday 7th July. Please arrive earlier than this and await directions and instructions while we set up and move the children into position.

English
This week we have studied rhyming words, similes and alliteration. Next week we will use these features in our own poems.

Religion
We have been comparing Christianity and Islam. We have looked back through our learning this year to help us make detailed comparisons. We then interpreted a quote from the book of Genesis and thought about what Christians can do when interpreting it.

Notices
  • On the final week of term we will be sending the majority of your child's exercise books home with them. Due to the number of exercise books to be sent home we will be doing this across multiple days. Please put a couple of empty carrier bags in your child's bag to assist us with distributing the books. There are far too many to carry in one journey! Some children have worked through 3-4 maths books!

Please wait
