Spring Term Week 3

Mr. Stephens - 19 Jan 2024

We'd like to begin with a few notices.
  • If you have not already done so, please send an empty shoe box in with your child so they can complete their art project for this half term. Any spare ones would be greatly appreciated.
  • It is imperative that children practise on Times Table Rockstars as often as possible. Our next block focuses on Multiplication and Division. Children who do not confidently know their times tables cannot be assessed as meeting age-related expectation in Year 2. Children who are not accessing the service at home will be required to complete practise during a small part of their golden time - this was communicated to you in a letter sent towards the start of the year.
  • Please complete and send in your reply slips for the Colchester Castle trip at your earliest convenience. Payments are to be made through Squid. If we do not recieve enough contribution to cover the cost of the visit then we will sadly have to cancel the trip. We have made almost all of our visits free for parents this year and have only planned two paid trips. It would be a shame if they could not go ahead.

Maths
We completed our block based on money. We solved multi-step problems and calculated change.

English
We have planned our setting description based on our oil pastel art.

Religion
We sequenced the events of Holy Week.

Science
We wrote about the stages of the human life cycle.
