In English we have been revising our reading skills by looking at a range of comprehension questions using VIPERS.

We also had a great time with ScootFit on Tuesday afternoon and at the KS2 disco on Wednesday!

English

This week in Year 6 we have continued writing our narratives. We have looked at how to include a range of figurative language in our writing to describe the setting. We have also looked at how to link our sentences and paragraphs when moving from first person to third person.

Maths

In Maths we have been revising our use of coordinates and looking at how to draw and read coordinates in all four quadrants. We also used our knowledge of coordinates and shape to solve problems like the one below.

Science

For Science we continued our work on electricity and looked at a range of components within a circuit. We investigated how components change when a circuit is adapted.

We also had a visit from PC Drew who announced the winners of the parking poster competition. All winners were presented with a certificate and a fantastic ‘Challenge Coin’ from Chief Inspector Charlie Routley.

There were some fantastic outfits for our aspirations month!
