Year 4 Summer 1 Week 2
Well done year 4 for completing another week!
In English, we have planned our setting description based on mountains. We have focussed on using the 5 senses, similes, metaphors, conjunctions and expanded noun phrases! Next week we will start writing our first draft.
In Maths, we have finished our topic on money! We have started our time topic. This week we have learnt: days, weeks, months and hours, minutes, seconds. We will continue with time next week.
In art we have learnt about atmospheric perspective. They have used charcoal, ink and pencils to sketch in a mountain landscape picture using different shades and techniques.
In shared reading, we have carried on reading secrets of a sun king. We have used our inference, retrieval and summary skills this week.
The children have also been given homework to complete about money word problems and fronted adverbials
As always ensure your child is reading and going on TTRS 5 x a week.
