On a personal note, Iíve been married to Asha for almost 13 years and have a 10 year old daughter, Kezia who attends Suttons Primary School in Hornchurch. Our family is soon to expand over the Summer holidays, with the arrival of a baby boy Ė so lots of change! We also have 2 cats, Jack and Meg. We have lived in Hornchurch for 12 years, having moved from Leicester in 2002 where we both grew up, and am delighted to be working back in my local community.
Professionally, Iíve worked at St Maryís and Suttons in Hornchurch before moving to Waltham Forest to become the Deputy Headteacher. Prior to teaching I was the youth minister at Hornchurch Baptist Church following graduation from Birmingham University where I studied Geology and Geography.
I believe that Brady School has many strengths and enormous potential and I am excited by the prospect of leading its next phase of development. Before taking up the post I was able to visit both the pupils and staff, and observe the excellent team already in place. I am very grateful for all the hard work Mrs Zaayman has put in as Acting Head, and look forward to working closely with the staff, Senior Leadership Team and Governors in taking the school forward. The relationships between teachers, students and parents are fundamental to the success of the school. Working together, we can ensure that pupils enjoy their time at Brady Primary School, make good progress and leave us as responsible, independent young people who are prepared for secondary school and equipped ready to make a valued contribution to society.
Every child can do amazing things, and achieve more than they realise, and itís our job to help make this potential a reality. With an outstanding education, every child has the freedom to choose their own future. I look forward to working with the students, teachers and yourselves to continue the drive on raising standards. Your support in reinforcing these high expectations is very much valued.
