This week in Year 3
Mrs Divall & Mrs Zaayman - 22 Jun 2018
This week has been jam packed in year 3. In Topic/ Literacy we have been in a time machine and found ourselves 1,000 years in the future where we explored a space cinema and survived a space disaster.
In Maths we have extended our knowledge of fractions and can now mostly order, compare and add/ subtract fractions. Due to our early finish today additional Maths homework will be available from Monday should anyone request it.
We have also learned all about Henri Matisse and how he was a pioneer in modern art. We looked, in particular, at ‘The Snail’ and recreated this using Paint on our computers. The children know that the collage can be found at the Tate Modern in London and it is well worth a visit over the summer, if you have a free day to fill, to show the children this in real life (it is free to enter).
We hope you have a great weekend!
