Mr Hetchin - 19 May 2017
This week the children have been exploring the story of Cinderella. We have tlearnt the plot of the story , made music for the fairy tale ball and learnt about the Royal Family during our topic lessons. In open learning the children have wrote their own invitations for a Cinderella ball, created their own special princesses and acted out the story using the mini me figures.
In Mathematics the children have been learning all about measuring, we've had such a busy week measuring length, height and weight. We even had a special visit from Mr Bishop who came to see the children learn all about measuring the shoes of fairy tale characthers using multilink cubes. The class did somefantastic investigation.
It was lovely to see the sunshine at the beggining of the week and the childen has a great deal of excitement making their own "Ninja Warrior" obstacle course. Both the boys and girls have really enjoyed washing the bikes and cars in a pretend garage.
On Thursday we had two wonderful visitors in Mrs Divall and her son . We were all so excited to see how much her baby had grown and Mrs Divall even read the children a story.
Next week we will be learning about the story of Little Red Riding Hood and exploring money.
