Outdoor Learning
25 Sep 2015
A lovely day learning outdoors...
What an amzing first (or second) week for our reception pupils. I think a few were pretty tired out by the end of the day today!
This week we have been learning from these nursery rhymes:
Monday- Humpty Dumpty
Tuesday - Jack and Jill
Wednesday - 5 Little Monkeys
Thursday - Hey Diddle Diddle
Friday - Hickory Dickory Dock.
We had lots of fun together, from playing 'What's the time Mr Wolf?' outside, to cutting and sticking monkeys onto beds inside.
Your children have really stepped up to the expectations of 'big school' and I have been very impressed with them this week...
Next week we will be learning about Dinosaurs, and using the 'Harry and the dinosaur' books as a focus.
Your children will also begin to bring home a reading book and a library book next week.
I'll update you on Monday with the details of which day/what they need in their bookbags/how you fill out the reading records.
Have a lovely weekend, and take a look at the photos below.
