What have we been learning about this week?

Mrs Divall - 03 Mar 2015

Hi all,

This week we have been learning from the book Handa's Surprise.  We tasted different kinds of fruit at Tescos, so it has linked very nicely to our school trip!  In maths, we have been combining groups of fruit to feed to the animals and writing number senteneces to represent this.  In literacy, we have been retelling the story using our phonic knowledge to sound words out.

We have been talking about how it would be different if we lived in a village in Kenya.  Ask your child what they think!  If you want to write down their response, it would be a lovely addition to their learning journey, as we are learning to talk about similarities and differences between places.

In other news - we are planning the new outdoor provision for our EYFS children.  Do you have any ideas or opinions about what our new garden should be like?  We have many ideas that are currently being discussed but want to know what you think, as it's your child's education!  What do you think would capture your child's imagination?  What do you think would be great educationally? Please comment in the box below, it's important we hear from you!

Mrs Divall :)
